The adulterer who is blackmailing State taxpayers for half a million dollars is a pundit to be trusted? The guy who waged war on his opponents and was the right hand man in devastating the Republican Party of Minnesota, is someone we want representing us in the public eye? The guy who not only fell prey to sinful acts of adultery, but also erased all trust by the public for Republicans in the Legislature is a guy who should even get a job in politics in this town again?

I’m talking about Darth Brodkorb’s appearance on Fox 9 last night.

What was I doing while he was speaking for all of us?

I was driving to St. Cloud to help get the Victory Center up and running because the Republican Party of Minnesota is riddled with debt and can’t raise money because no one trusts us (among other things like opening their arms to exploitative factions who won’t help the party simply so he and his pal who sold tacos could keep power… and worsen the party’s chances…..)  and we can’t hire the staff who normally do what I’m doing.

On another note, you have egotistical wordsmiths and fanatical cult worshipers who are proving me right and instead of at least just going and shutting up, are waging a war on Republicans from with in the Republican party. using, exploiting, and abusing the party, not for principle, for ego stroking and worshiping a false God. I’m plain fed up with anyone who still calls themselves a Ron Paul Republican.

The Primary, the endorsements…. the time for choosing is over, the candidates are selected, you are either with the Republicans or against the Republicans.

And people say that I’m the guy who did so much damage to the GOP.

I’m burning up my gas, taking my free time, taking time away from my family to go help the party because thanks to the aforementioned, we can’t afford it and no one likes or trusts us, while they grand stand simply to grandstand and feed their egotistical inner greed and selfishness.

I like to argue too, but unlike you asshats, I realize there is work to be done and by God if no one does it, Mark Dayton get’s his Legislature, Obama gets reelected, and the Democrats take Congress. Over my dead body.

I’m the one who will be traveling to multiple BPOU meetings tonight and another District meeting on Thursday, a call Wednesday night, and then going to get supplies to another office this weekend ……. all out of my own pocket btw……

And yet the aforementioned masquerade as some prime gatekeepers to truth, justice, and the American way.

Its Patriot’s Day, September 11th, and scumbags are trying to undermine the very people fighting to save this Country. Are we perfect? Nay. But if you are delusional enough to see no difference between the socialists on the left and the Republicans on the right, I say it is you who is an enemy of liberty. To choose perfection, mislead the innocent, and confuse those honestly trying to make America return to its base of freedom first, it is you who abused your power and the trust of people who are to blame.

I’m sorry, but I am so angry at the damage done to the MNGOP by power hungry people who couldn’t keep it in their pants and people who clearly are more qualified to be professor than movement leaders, who search for faults, divide, and have no intentions on making America better. Their actions prove they aren’t about changing the course, but stopping Republicans from winning.

While one pathetic little man tries to rebuild his empire and others thump their chest and say, this party I infiltrated with dubious intentions, well I just can’t stand it and I will take down their candidates, oh and also install my preferred principled choice  locally who isn’t ready for prime time and is…..

Let the record show who is picking up all the slack these asshats have left. By design, incompetence, or just selfishness…. Please, don’t get me wrong, I am not doing it all alone. But even after all these people ran me out, tried to destroy me. Lied about me…….

I’m the guy who could be enjoying my evenings with my family, relaxing at lunch, not tracking down call sheets and returning messages, who would be building that deck up at the cabin and taking the kid wake boarding and enjoying those boat rides at sunset with my fiancé ……

I’m the guy who has never been more involved than I am right now. Why? Because the people who say they know everything and just listen to them… aren’t doing a damn bit of good or have made it so we can’t afford to function.

Pardon this rant… Its been bubbling inside. I’m angry that I’m forced to help. Forced? Well I care about this country enough to sacrifice. I do what I do because I love this country.

That was and still is, my feeling about this whole Ron Paul thing. Jason Lewis did a fantastic job both explaining the Liberty Campaign as an exploitation of the Republican party because Paul could get publicity from the GOP debates he wouldn’t with the Libertarian Party. But he also goes along to decimate a poor cult member who just happened to get crushed by the facts on Romney’s record and platform for the Presidency. As I was driving I was listening just nodding my head. Words can’t do it justice, please listen to it here.

If Jason Lewis is wrong, prove it. We need your help.

Thanks to the scorched Earth revenge waged by the ROn Paul Queen B in Minnesota Congressional Districts, many of the steady hands at the rudder were thrown over board and uneducated and clueless Ron Paul disciples took leadership positions, merely because they could.

In the case of CD4, a last minute tantrum by Ron Paulers lead to them throwing the former Chair out and putting their own, for lack of a better word, tyrannical dictator, in charge.

I use the word in charge lightly because he isn’t doing anything. In fact he is actually hurting Republicans.

Everyone says be nice, this new blood and new people with energy will be good, problem is, they only seem to be good at hurting the MNGOP. Some, like the Ron Paul CD4 Chair, don’t seem remotely interested in helping get Republicans elected.

That’s the problem.

A CD Chair not having a single meeting until the election. No plans for any communication… GOTV? Assistance to the Congressional candidate….

If this is help, I’d hate to see the Ron Paul movement actually trying to hurt Republicans.

I pray this is not going to be just like 2010 when we watched Emmer’s campaign die the death of 1000 unforced errors coming out of the endorsement. Then again, I’m told the reason Kurt Bills won the endorsement is exactly what the GOP needs and is the future of the party.

I really REALLY want to be proven wrong. But I believe a hard contrast campaign tying Klobuchar to Obama’s failed policies is what needs to be done. Not this inward focused appealing (dare I say pandering) to the our traditional fringe and fickle voters approach.

If my radar is correct, these people being appealed to by this movie are the very same people who will be turned off by the marriage amendment. Bills’ out of the gate image and message is ‘he’s hip and a different kind of politician and not a stereotypical Republican who only cares about what you do in your bedroom’ so young people will consider voting for him, meanwhile holding the majorities in the Legislature depends, in large part, on traditional base turnout from the marriage amendment,  which (we are told) will drive these people away from Republicans down ticket. (maybe these young staffers Osskopp is listening to are the ones who publicly oppose the Amendment)

Can someone explain this to me because it seems to me we may be hosed in 2012 by having a 2006 redo of Republican candidates running away from each other, not running together.

What is our message? What do we really stand for? Why should voters consider us?  Is it our brand new 6400 word platform? (Yep added 1000 words according to the draft I’ve seen)

Case in point is the people who likely love this Bills movie who think John Kline is the devil. Which is only going to help Democrats spend more money trying to beat Kline and newsflash to the newbies, when a party spend money on a Congressional or Statewide candidate (voter ID, GOTV, ads, lit drops, etc) it helps that party’s down ticket candidates) It also doesn’t help that your statewide candidate is from Kline’s CD2 and Bills’ campaign manager used to work for Kline and has less than flattering things to say about Kline.

The Democrat run Morning Take says this “unconvential” approach is the only chance Bills has.

THURSDAYTAKE:  In 2006, then U.S. Rep. Mark Kennedy spent $9 million facing Sen. Amy Klobuchar for an open seat and lost by 23 points.  Kennedy on paper was a stellar candidate, but it didn’t work.  State Rep. Kurt Bills is down by 26 points and chances are he won’t have $9 million to face now incumbent Sen. Amy Klobuchar.  Yesterday, Bills’ campaign faced an onslaught of negative Tweets and comments about sponsoring a short film in Minneapolis 48 hour Film Project.  Consider it “trying something new”.  Minnesota has a long tradition of not always electing the conventional candidate (Wellstone/Ventura/Franken).  Bills campaign has to be unconventional, otherwise chances are they can spend less than $9 million and still lose by 20+ points.  Here is the trailer WATCH:  http://bit.ly/KXlwkC

When Democrat strategists and consultants are defending your Republican campaign….. That’s not a good sign of things to come.

If there is not a change in the Bills campaign manager, attitude, or strategy, Klobuchar may not have to even bother coming back from DC to campaign. We already know she will avoid debates like the plague, so head to head match ups like 2010, to use to chow contrast, are off the table.(Hope I didn’t break any hearts with that news)  Every move is under the microscope, but more importantly, every single move and decision counts, and Bills needs much better people running his campaign.

Why?

Because if the top of the ticket for Republicans in Minnesota is seen as a joke, it does not help down ticket.

Let’s get this figured out folks. There is no room for on the job training, do overs, and whoopsies. This is big leagues. Clean it up or go find something more your speed, like soil and water commissioner.

My candidacy for Deputy Chair of the 6th is forcing me to be a good little soldier… hence the cease and desist of RF posting on internal GOP battles. Which is killing me.  I just hope that my fellow Republicans choose wisely and select the best conservative candidate because there are some big contrasts in some races in Anoka County and I really want certain candidates to win.

I reread it and think its a critical thing for people to think about while CPAC is going on and all you have to do to be conservative is speak at it and not be names Mitt Romney. OR so that’s the impression I’m getting. Oh and everyone who is conservative is there, not at home working or some stupid thing like that. (bitter, party of one, your table is ready)

Ah yes, focus, this is supposed to be short Andy.  Rick Santorum is now the self proclaimed conservative savior.

Pork is the poison pill that makes me loathe Republicans. Why? Its not the actual spending or debt. Its because you get Republicans who think the only possible way for them to get elected in a blue state, like say, Pennsylvania, is to bring home the bacon and hold lots of fun photo ops where you hand out giant checks.

I mean, who wouldn’t love to have one of those giant checkbooks that magically uses someone else’s bank account and never ever runs out of funds. Jackpot!

The problem with pork is that its a symptom of a politician who forgot why they first called themselves a Republican and conservative. They believed them having the job was more important then the job of limited government. They had to bring home the pork to be able to come back next year. Santorum did that. Why that is a Republican trait, I personally believe it is not a conservative one.

Am I saying Santorum is a RINO? Nope, but on the matter of power corrupting, and the power to spend other people’s money on my own reelection, I label Santorum a CINO. Conservative in Name Only. Not on all issues, but unbeknownst to many in the conservative movement (for some reason only during Republican endorsement battles which is…. odd. Gee I wonder why )

Shut up Andy.

There is more to being conservative than saying you are or pleasing one of the single issue planks.

I just don’t like Santorum. Creeps me out. Oh and yes, I know Romney is far from perfect. But I believe he is the best we have left.

I’m going to upset some, but I think the Newt war on Romney is early similar to the Seifert war on Emmer and is worthy of some reflection. 

I’m one who thinks Newt Gingrich’s time to be great was over long ago. For the last decade he’s tried to suck all the oxygen out of the conservative tent and has self-appointed himself to be the smartest guy in the room. You shrugged it off since he was supposedly the guy who lead the Contract with America revolution….. Then he sat on that couch with Nancy Pelosi embracing man made global warming.

The jackhole is a populist, not a principled conservative.

Then his hatred campaign against Romney started. Its what the guy who thinks something belongs to him, or if they are the heir apparent and some other person swoops in and steals the show. The front runner turned also ran turns to a negative campaign to make people dislike the person they are losing to in hopes of regaining the momentum. This was the tactic employed by Marty Seifert’s Gubernatorial campaign.

It is a dangerous game because it does a couple things very beneficial for the Democrats. It makes people hate both people and leads activists to hate each other. There are some people who I actually question the intelligence and/or motives of, after the Emmer – Seifert battle. There are Republicans who actually think Emmer killed that lady’s kid from that ad. Wounds first opened by Seifert. Republicans and leaners, no longer trusted Emmer. Sure, people will be very quick to point to Emmer own stumbles but the wounds that cost him votes, volunteers, and donations were first opened by a fellow Republican’s team of desperate consultants and staffers.

Both Emmer and Seifert came out of the endorsement claiming unity and promising to help the GOP win, but it never happened and the waves of dissension (Miss me yet) still wash up on the GOP beaches like a hazardous waste that stifles unity and reenergizes misguided battles of old. We’re left arguing about last years battle, rather than this years.

Am I saying that Marty Seifert singlehandedly made Emmer lose? Absolutely not, but you can’t ignore that ‘Operation Kitchensink” did have lasting effects and was in no way worth it given Emmer lost in the end. There is testing and vetting a candidate, and then there is unleashing the minions to lie and mislead people through whispers and one on one phone calls to the point where people start to hate the other Emmer and refuse to defend him against the lies Dayton was spreading.

That’s exactly what Newt Gingrich is up to right now. He’s determined to capitalize on the anti-Romney populism at any cost. Rick Perry’s decision to drop out and endorse Newt answers the question: Social, fiscal, crony, or compassionate conservative? Clearly not a social conservative as he endorsed the guy who wants to be the next philanderer in chief over Santorum. The obvious choice for fiscally conservatives was Ron Paul. Compassionate  conservatives just want to win the argument, not the war. Crony conservatives just want to remain relevant. Which btw Newt got filthy rich himself off of playing on the conservative movement with his American Solutions stuff while also taking money telling people how to defeat conservatism and limited Government…….

Newt needs people to hate Romney. Its his only chance. Some already short sighted conservatives who are easy to be fooled – do hate Mitt Romney. Its a flaw in many conservatives to believe that perfect is achievable, and refuses to accept that good enough is better than socialism. Instead, there’s a wave of sentiment out there that we Republicans just can’t let that (in some cases) a Mormon, (in others) another liberal Republican, (and sadly) that rich SOB successful business guy Romney get the endorsement.

Mitt Romney is far from the perfect conservative candidate. But so is each and every other candidate in the race. Its intellectually dishonest to assume anyone else still standing besides Mitt is a better conservative, cause they aren’t. Each of them has huge errors in their records or current philosophy. The fact is the perfect candidate has either left the race or never bothered to get in- depending on your specific qualities you desired.

Newt wants, no Newt NEEDS – me to hate Romney enough to forget Newt’s own mountains of lies and mistakes he has made. He needs me to ignore how he treated his wives/mistresses all the while trying to grandstand in the Clinton impeachment due to his own marital indiscretions. His sitting on the couch with Pelosi worshipping AL Gore, immigration, or just trying to suck all the air out of the conservative balloon so that he can simply amass more wealth and have people put him on a mantle – is too big of a pill for me to swallow and say yeah, Romney is not to be trusted.

Well, I still don’t love Romney, but I realize that he stands the best chance at beating Obama at this point and has the experience in the private sector to make some changes in the course of America. Everyone else in the race is easily beatable. So easy that I think I could manage Obama’s campaign. Each one (not names Mitt) has major flaws that can be highlighted to either drive away parts of the conservative base or swing voters. Democrats are chomping at the bit for a Newt, Santorum, or Paul candidacy.

They say give them Romney, but that’s only to embolden Santorum & Gingrich and further divide the GOP legs of the stool from each other. Its classic divide and conquer my friends. Newt’s no dummy, he is trying to steal the thunder and become the anti-Mitt, a grassfire being stoked by Democrats because they want Republicans to turn this little fire into a full blown scorched earth forest fire.

Newt’s problem is, I hate him more than the day he got in this race.

There is something to be said about a man who wants something so badly he’ll do and say anything to get it. Lie, cheat, steal…. Newt Gingrich has proven very skilled at each and every one of them which makes him more unfit for office that the current liar, cheater, and thief in the White House.

Great job Newt Gingrich, I hate you.

1. Smart For-Us pickup

The Smart brand of microcars owned by Mercedes-Benz wouldn’t exist in the United States except for Mercedes’ need to meet fuel economyrules. Turning a Smart into a tiny pickup, then crippling it with an electric motor renders a vehicle that for all its fun graphics couldn’t do much more than golf course duty.

That was part of the caption for a piece on the biggest misses at the Detroit Auto show – under a Smart Car truck.

They’ve created a dangerous joke toy car simply to appease Government.

It is just so satisfying to be proven right. I was screaming from the roof tops how the 2006 MVST Amendment was a scam that would not solve the funding problem for drivers in the state. I was also trying to harpoon anyone who supported the gas tax increase/veto override, as well as the Transit taxes in Metro Counties. Every cultural revolution needs useful idiots to swallow the red pill and help fundamentally transform things into a social engineering and socialist society.

All the propaganda being spewed forth by proponents of those taxation plans used solving the funding problem as the key to the sacrifice. Well, Governor Dayton just appointed a panel to seek out new ways to tax (he calls it invest) for transportation. While its nice to see him admit that we do need roads and bridges, not put all our eggs in the choo choo train basket, its disappointing to see him pretend that the state of Minnesota doesn’t even have a tin cup to go beg with on a light rail platform…..

Why yes, the State of Minnesota is wrapping up Phase 3 of their Europeanization of the State with choo choo trains. The 3 projects, Northstar, Hiawatha, and Central Corridor cost taxpayers over $2 billion. That was $2 Billion that could have been spent on rebuilding bridges before they collapsed, solving the deadly interchanges, and adding badly needed lanes on highways.

But nope, we not only wasted Billions on trains to help about 5% of the people get from point A to point B, but we did so at the expense of the road system that serves the other 95%. Dayton claims he wants to solve the problem, but when you can’t even admit your mistakes, your motives on this panel are suspect at best.

If you Legislator – GOP or DFL – says that we just don’t have the money to fix your road or bridge, ask them where the $34 Billion went. Why over $2 Billion was spent on shiny new trains along with tens of millions in annual operating costs. Why hundreds of millions is going to buy hybrid and green buses. But there is just no money for roads and bridges.

The answer is easy, politicians have been wasting money.

Millions in taxpayer dollars are being spent to study new rail lines, be they light rail or somehow paying hundreds of millions to simply put a passenger train on existing tracks. The return on investment of rail boondoggles is staggering. Billions spent, no noticeable change in congestion. Sure, 5% of the people may be happy they no longer have to take a bus or drive a car, but its at the expense of the other 95% of Minnesotans.

I trust no politician on transportation who can’t admit the mistakes. Dayton is just another liberal politician who thinks that one of the core responsibilities of government is an optional chore that needs to be funded outside of the massive existing revenue stream of the state. Everyone benefits from adequate roads, everyone. Why can’t we spend general fund dollars to fix problems that 100% of us face?

Its good money if you can find someone to steal it from.

The two-year-old Northstar commuter rail line is about to arrive in the city of Ramsey.

Final approval is expected Wednesday to build a $13.2 million station in Ramsey that Anoka County and city officials expect to open in about a year, Hennepin County Commissioner Peter McLaughlin confirmed Tuesday.

The Counties Transit Improvement Board was to meet Wednesday morning, with the final funding piece for the Ramsey Northstar Station its primary agenda, said McLaughlin, chairman of the Hennepin County Regional Rail Authority. The state already has committed $4 million to the project, the city of Ramsey has pledged $3.6 million and the Counties Transit Improvement Board is expected to finalize its $3 million contribution. Anoka County and the Metropolitan Council are contributing $1.3 million apiece.

Such a waste of money.
