If anyone in the media or DFL ever complain about a Republican Governor giving a campaign speech anywhere in the Capital or in the State of the Union again, I’m going to blow a gasket after this piece of work from Mark Dayton last night. This was a campaign speech and Republicans should demand equal time from all media outlets who dutifully covered the DFL’s campaign agenda.
The State of the State speech is meant to lay out the goals for the session. Dayton could have submitted his goals for the 2014 session in writing or maybe that lady he doesn’t talk to could have read it for him. But no, he waited until the session was over. Til it was too late to actually accomplish anything, to lay out what exactly he does want.
And oh, forget the fact that the things that Minnesotans really want, like mining jobs, less red tape, and less camel’s nose under the tent Government intrusion, no, he left that out.
Its maddening that the media in this state attacks any Republican standing up for the shared principles of the hard working men and women of Minnesota, but allows these blunder head radicals to walk around preaching socialism with a straight face.
