Ron Paul Exploiting the GOP – Perfect Description
That was and still is, my feeling about this whole Ron Paul thing. Jason Lewis did a fantastic job both explaining the Liberty Campaign as an exploitation of the Republican party because Paul could get publicity from the GOP debates he wouldn’t with the Libertarian Party. But he also goes along to decimate a poor cult member who just happened to get crushed by the facts on Romney’s record and platform for the Presidency. As I was driving I was listening just nodding my head. Words can’t do it justice, please listen to it here.
If Jason Lewis is wrong, prove it. We need your help.

Interesting coming from Jason Lewis. At least he is being honest. I suppose Lewis didn’t “disavow” the actions of the Libertarians who are seeking to “hi-jack” the GOP, take it over, and make it their own Party. Someone on Twitter said, “If the brand is worth something, the brand is worth protecting.” I agree.
Jason Lewis is wrong… Republican’s often say if we can agree on 80% we can be friends and work together for the better of this country. I will be voting for 4 out 5 Republican’s on the ballot. I am undecided, but leaning against the fifth. Why would Jason or anyone insist that someone should leave the party merely because they can’t support one or two of the Republican candidates while they support all the rest. Would the party be better off if I voted for none of its candidates or did not vote at all? His argument is emotional and lacks logic.
Ron Paul is trying to move the debate, trying to bring the GOP back to its roots. “Ron Paul is exploiting the GOP,” is absurd. How about Ron Paul was running for President and trying to advance his views. To the extent that is exploiting the party — I believe all candidates running are guilty of the same.
Andy, I see your word’s to live by, “The era of small government is over … government has to be more proactive, more aggressive.” Really??? I believe it is your guiding principle. Should I believe that is your guiding principle?
Kris
The reason you vote for the Republican is because even the worst Republican is better than the best Democrat. And because the winner is the one who gets the most votes, so not voting for the Republican is just like voting for the Democrat. The reason Republicans don’t win statewide office, like the governorship or Secretary of State, is because a few outstate people (2 per precinct would have made Tome Emmer governor) choose to not vote for the Republican. And because even the worst Republican counts when we are electing legislative leadership.
Look, there is a binary choice on the ballot– an R or a D. Pick one.
