"John McClane: You know what you get for being a hero? Nothin'. You get shot at. You get a little pat on the back, blah, blah, blah, attaboy. You get divorced. Your wife can't remember your last name. Your kids don't want to talk to you. You get to eat a lot of meals by yourself. Trust me, kid, nobody wants to be that guy.
Matt Farrell: Then why you doing this?
John McClane: Because there's no body else to do it right now, that's why. Believe me, if there were somebody else to do it, I'd let them do it, but there's not. So we're doing it.
Matt Farrell: Ah. That's what makes you that guy. "

Words To Live By
"The era of small government is over ... government has to be more proactive, more aggressive." ( Tim Pawlenty 2006)

"You're just petty politicians, who'd sooner sign onto the wisdom of a tyrant in another country, than the demands of ticked off voters in your own." (Neil Cavuto June 2008)

“I didn’t question her patriotism. I questioned her judgment.” Mr. Cheney went on: “The point I made and I’ll make it again is that Al Qaeda functions on the basis that they think they can break our will. That’s their fundamental underlying strategy, that if they can kill enough Americans or cause enough havoc, create enough chaos in Iraq, then we’ll quit and go home. And my statement was that if we adopt the Pelosi policy, that then we will validate the strategy of Al Qaeda. I said it, and I meant it.” (Vice President Cheney NYT Feb. 2007)

"A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers. (Ronald Reagan March 1, 1975)

"Oh, no! First of all, if I took one vote away from a serious candidate, it would be a sin." (Al Franken Time Magazine, 9/1/03)

BREAKING – Unequivocal Unity – Bills Endorses Romney

Republican US Senate candidate Kurt Bills has ”unequivocally” endorsed Mitt Romney. I can confirm this is happening this morning. MPR & Davis & Emmer are both reporting this.

MPR: Capitol View: Republican Kurt Bills will hold a Thursday newser to call on all Republicans to unite behind Mitt Romney in advance of the RNC Convention. Bills was elected as a delegate to the RNC because he backed Texas Congressman Ron Paul’s campaign for president.

Its a big deal because I’ve talked to many people who will have their names on the ballot this November who were growing very worried. Why? Because if the top of the ticket in Minnesota believed what the Queen B of the Ron Paul campaign did, then the RNC & Romney campaigns would divert resources away from Minnesota and that would help defeat many people further down the ballot in November.

Folks, this is what Republican unity looks like. Its not I win, you have to get over it and forget everything you know cause things are different now cause, because as I said, I won. Unity is about us all realizing that we actually have shared principles and if we all work together for those goals, and if we come together we will be able to defeat the Democrats and save America.

We have 75 days to save America by defeating Amy Klobuchar and Barack Obama.

Its time to give to the Party & Kurt Bills and volunteer and help win in November.

Here is the release.

Dear Friends,

Election Day 2012 will be one of the most critical days in American history. This is truly an historic election that will define an era.

If Obama and the Democrats win this election, America will never look the same. Obama promised to “fundamentally transform America” in 2008, and we’ve seen the results: the government take-over of healthcare, bank bailouts, a dependency culture, rising prices and shrinking wages. He has embraced too-big-to-fail, and made the rest of us too-small-to-win.

In order to defeat Obama and his lieutenant Amy Klobuchar, Republicans of all stripes must stand together. We cannot afford to squabble, and mustn’t equivocate. We need to unite— standing on our shared principles—to win in November.

That’s why I’m declaring my unequivocal support for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. After a hard-fought Republican primary, they alone have the ability to beat Barack Obama in November and help America rediscover its conservative principles.

Mitt Romney is visiting Minnesota today, and I am proud to work with him to defeat Barack Obama.

In the primaries I supported Ron Paul for President. Today I am an enthusiastic supporter of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan, and will devote every day between now and November 6th to ensuring a Republican victory in Minnesota for Romney and every other Republican candidate on the ticket.

As Republicans and conservatives, that which unites us is far greater than what divides us, and I hope you will join me in building an organization—from the bottom, up—that can defeat Barack Obama and Amy Klobuchar.

Too much is at stake not to jump into this fight wholeheartedly. We need to tame the deficit; we need to pay down the debt; we need to get the government out of our lives, our health care, and our private lives. Barack Obama is expanding government’s role; Republicans will roll back government intrusion.

Winning this election isn’t everything; it is the only thing. That is why, in addition to taking back this US Senate seat for Minnesota, I am committed to supporting all Republican candidates for office—and am asking you to do the same.

We’ve had our differences, and fought the good fight. Now is the time to close ranks. Nothing less than the future of our nation is at stake. Work like your children’s future depends upon winning…because it does.
