Oh For Pete’s Sake – FIFTY!
Man do I really regret helping talking a certain someone out of a primary challenge.
Cause this is painful.
Republican Candidate Totals Pct Graph DAVID CARLSON 43002 35.21% BOB CARNEY JR. 16459 13.48% KURT BILLS 62657 51.31%
Now we need to do everything we can to defeat Amy Klobuchar and that means help Kurt Bills. But, I want each and every one of you to remember this and who was telling you all those wonderful things. They were wrong.
Also thanks to people believing the Taco Tony’s BS , because the State Party is understaffed and broke. And that’s not a shot at the people there now, its a shot at the people who left the party in the condition it is in. All who seem to have just transitioned seamlessly to ruining other campaigns and organizations. Its why I fight and rail so hard on the shortcomings of the Party and try to get people to make good decisions in Chair elections. Its critical that the party works well in its Primary Directive, which is elections. Well the cronyism of the last few Chairman has finally run its course. Look, you can’t win the Indy 500 in a Ford Pinto.
This Party problems no doubt helped lead to the dismal performance by Bills, but its not the only reason.
Don’t think Bills can just point fingers outside his own office as why it went so badly last night, because the mirrors in that office should come in handy as the reflect on what happened. I pray that someone will intervene on Bills’ campaign. An embarrassing performance like last night requires pink slips and massive changes. Its not personal, this is business folks. Very important business. You only get to remove terrible Senators every 6 years. This is fire your mother if she isn’t helping time. Its that or we don’t waste a dime on 2012 and don’t make volunteers work 24-7 for the cause.
Mr. Bills, now is the time to prove that you aren’t in over your head. And if you are, its time for you to get someone around you who doesn’t make that visible. This is that moment that you ask for help. Because, the results from last night, fundraising so far, and amateur hour ads, all added up to the general public drawing the conclusion that you are in over your head.
Again, its not personal. You asked to be the one to take out Klobuchar. You grabbed the endorsement. We’re stuck with you. So we’re counting on you to perform.
This is that moment when we will find out what you are made of. So take a good look in that mirror and figure out who and what you are. Are you a winner or tiny speed bump for Klobuchar on her route to reelection?
Don’t feel guilty.

That is the best double entendre title of a post I have seen in a while.
This year was one of the few conventions when I didn’t want to hear the other candidates pledge to abide by the party’s endorsement. We’ve got to work at getting people to caucus & active in their BPOU who are more representative of the Minnesota GOP as a whole.
Bill is just like his hero Ron Paul.
Great at getting crazies to show up for a few hours to ruin a party.
Poison at the poll.
My guess is that he will probably get the same results in the general election (not % of votes, the same exact number of votes.)
In stead of figuring out how to get more work out of the dead horse, just leave it and move on.
He’s dead Jim.
Can’t even get the Bills / Paul delegates to help at a county fair booth for a couple hours.
…nor help any of the real Republican candidates. They only help their “principled” libertarian candidates.
Typical, false, ridiculous, “they’re all the same”, accusations against “liberty” supporters. My wife and I organized the Anoka County Fair and we did have as many liberty as non-liberty type Republicans work in the booth. It is easily as fair to say the the non-liberty Republicans are sitting on the sidelines, doing nothing for Kurt Bills and just drooling at the thought of wagging their passive-aggressive fingers and attitudes while saying “I told you so”. I’m a Ron Paul and liberty supporter and I, along with many other liberty supporters have pounded signs, marched in more than several parades, started a blog supporting non-liberty conservatives, and donated generously to a variety of campaigns.
…by the way, the MN GOP as a whole is exactly the problem we need to address. The MN GOP as a whole is far too complacent and accepting of compromise. That is the reason we get such weak legislative leadership and things such as a Vikings stadium, no support for Right to work, etc.
Jim B, I understand your points completely and statements made about any group should not be all-inclusive. There are always suggestions. I stand corrected. With regard to your second post, the public votes for their representation. If the public doesn’t want the stadium (as I don’t), then we can vote for reps and senators who won’t support that use of taxpayer money. But we can establish all sorts of laws that we espouse, but it is another thing to get the pubic, the Governor, and the Dems to agree with us. We can’t pass “perfect” unless we have a majority in both houses and the Governor’s office AND all factors are like-minded politically. Sadly, “perfect” can’t happen but every once in a great while. We strive for it, but …
Sorry. “There are always suggestions” should say “There are always exceptions”. Later in my comment I meant to say, “But we can establish all sorts of laws that we espouse, but it is another thing to get the public, the Governor, and the Dems to agree with us.”
