"John McClane: You know what you get for being a hero? Nothin'. You get shot at. You get a little pat on the back, blah, blah, blah, attaboy. You get divorced. Your wife can't remember your last name. Your kids don't want to talk to you. You get to eat a lot of meals by yourself. Trust me, kid, nobody wants to be that guy.
Matt Farrell: Then why you doing this?
John McClane: Because there's no body else to do it right now, that's why. Believe me, if there were somebody else to do it, I'd let them do it, but there's not. So we're doing it.
Matt Farrell: Ah. That's what makes you that guy. "

Words To Live By
"The era of small government is over ... government has to be more proactive, more aggressive." ( Tim Pawlenty 2006)

"You're just petty politicians, who'd sooner sign onto the wisdom of a tyrant in another country, than the demands of ticked off voters in your own." (Neil Cavuto June 2008)

“I didn’t question her patriotism. I questioned her judgment.” Mr. Cheney went on: “The point I made and I’ll make it again is that Al Qaeda functions on the basis that they think they can break our will. That’s their fundamental underlying strategy, that if they can kill enough Americans or cause enough havoc, create enough chaos in Iraq, then we’ll quit and go home. And my statement was that if we adopt the Pelosi policy, that then we will validate the strategy of Al Qaeda. I said it, and I meant it.” (Vice President Cheney NYT Feb. 2007)

"A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers. (Ronald Reagan March 1, 1975)

"Oh, no! First of all, if I took one vote away from a serious candidate, it would be a sin." (Al Franken Time Magazine, 9/1/03)

Media Outrage In 5 … 4 … 3 …

Don’t get me wrong, the mass murders in Aurora & at the Sikh temple are truly wrong and sad, but less than 20 people seems to be a drop in the bucket considering there are like 16,000 murders a year in the United States. We have kids posting youtube videos of themselves beating up people. We have, what is it called, bum boxing?

And we have open gang warfare going on across the nation. And its the lawful gun owners who are going to pay? As in, they will take everyone’s guns away because a couple of nutbags no one bothered to deal with, lied and got their hands on guns?

I’m sorry, but even if you do ban high capacity magazines, assault riffles, and make buying a gun next to impossible, the bad guys will still find a way to get them.

There were 2 people murdered last night in Minneapolis. 18 so far this year. Chicago is becoming the murder capital of the world again, 435 in 2011.

How many of those murders by firearm were done with legally purchased ones?

England banned guns, went so far as to go confiscate them, think they are murder free?

Until the media treats every single murder committed with a gun the same, its safe to say that this is more about politics than the tragedy. Sorry, but a boy being shot inside his own home by a stray bullet is as terrorizing ……

The way the coverage flocks to mass murders yet ignores the other 15000+ is sad. Are those lives somehow less important? Maybe is it that the gang war is going to happen regardless so its not wirth the remote TV crews and wall to wall 24-7 media blast?

Sorry for this rant, I’m just frustrated how the elites thought control social engineers fear the rights of lawful citizens more than those of the scumbags openly trying to hurt and kill people.
