What If Its Condi? What Will Paulbots Do?
The Senator Rand Paul endorsement of Mitt Romney sealed up some of the rift in the GOP, but hard core Ron Paulers (the ones who actually believe Ron Paul will be President) were miffed. But as the RP movement died down, no one bothered to care and the realization that Obama is the one we need to beat reigned supreme.
But what happens if Romney picks a “neocon”? More importantly, Condi Rice, one of the architecs of the Bush foreign policy Ron Paul hated so much?
(Why yes, another post where I challenge conventional wisdom that we just need to embrace each and every Ron Pauler……. Because this Spring, they will be tying to finish off their coup of the MNGOP.
They have already done major damage to our party. And no I’m not talking about Bills, or the RNC Delegates this year. Tony Sutton & Michael Brodkorb would never have won with out cooping the RP movement. Phoenix, our “one off” database is a Paulbot creation which we can’t afford and the rest of the nation is using the RNC database….
We used to be heralded as having the best list evah! Now, we can’t afford to fix the craptastic one we have.
So why should we cater to the Paul crowd again? Because we need their votes? Well, if they ruin everything else they touch, is it worth it?
(Being controversial to prove a point and make people think. Not enough people do that anymore. No not every RP person is bad, BUT when you ally yourself with anarchists and good for nothings who care more about defeating Republicans than Democrats, you are VERY hard to take seriously or trust. Especially when you are less than truthful or honest when it suits your needs. )

We do not need the Ron Paul idiots votes.
We need a majority to win votes.
If they are too stupid to realize that there is a difference between Obama and Romney or Obama and Bush, then there is no point even listening to them.
They do not know how to win and Ron Paul has shown he has no idea how to govern, so why even bother.
To get the Ron Paul vote you have to sacrifice reality.
So there is no reason to even bother with them.
If they continue to want to play games, then the GOP party organization and endorsement process will become like the DFL one in MN. A place where the kooks go play.
In the meantime the folks who live in the real world will actually go about the process of winning elections and governing.
Sam,
I believe this addresses your points in order.
A.) You need every vote you can get in order to win.
B.) Thank you for the Math lesson. My side has some good economics lessons to share if you’d like.
C.) Under the 2 GOP presidents you named, we saw zero real progress toward the aims of our platform. We might as well bang our heads against the wall. (Which we are currently doing. They’re arguing about tax returns)
D.) I don’t need someone to govern me. I only want a man like Paul to represent me.
E.) if you don’t like your reality, work to change it. Dr. Paul and I are both doing this. Some republicans must like abortion, war, gay marriage, deficit spending, etc. If you don’t, then quit supporting candidates that are all about the status quo. Talk is cheap.
F.) No reason to bother? If the Moderate Dems can embrace the socialists and social radicals, why can’t you make friends with someone that wants a little less government than you…like an Econ teacher from Rosemount. The Dems all find a way to play together…and they beat us when they shouldn’t in a socially conservative state that is somehow still blue…
G.) Games? I worked my tail off during the caucuses and conventions. Now I’m fighting to win elections. I’m donating to both the party and candidates. I’m running for local office as a conservative. I wish I was playing games. I’m sweating for our rights, liberties, and freedom. And I work 50 hours a week.
H.) In your real world, do the politicians you elect keep stabbing you in the back after they are elected? I’ll keep working in my imaginary world, and maybe we can make the real one a little more like it.
Sam, you may not need the votes of me and my “paulbots”, but we know that we need conservatives like you. Thats why we’re here. I’m a social conservative, too. I just think that there’s a better way to achieve my aims there. I have a list of people a mile long that I would vote for as president in the next election. Maybe we can find one we both like? Truce?
Andy, my side and yours may have been mortal enemies within the party, but keep up the good work. I enjoy your work…even the Paul-hating stuff. I love a fiery conservative voice!
