From The INBOX: Chillax Man
I was urged to tone it down with my linking to glimpses of the Kurt Bills not ready for prime time campaign blunders as covered by the MSM and Democrat consultant/PR email blast….. I’m not breaking news, if I was I could understand the pushback. I believe there is still time to bring someone in to take control of the campaign who knows what the heck they are doing before it is too late.
I believe had me and others stepped in and forced Emmer to make some changes and have done things differently, that he would be Governor right now.
I will vote for Bills as any Republican, conservative, libertarian, and center of right person should do when it comes to the Republican endorsed candidate. But we are not enough to win alone, and some things done to speak to factions of people (be them with in the 3 legged stool of Reaganism or the swing voters) has a tendency to turn some of us off.
I was nudged to go into RF blackout of the Bills campaign so no one will be able to blame me for his loss.
Does little old me have the power to make Republicans lose in general elections? I don’t think so, and I know how much people hate having their mistakes highlighted, but if someone isn’t brutally honest with our candidates, by gosh they will hold tip credit press conferences and allow themselves to be painted as extreme or IDed as someone Minnesotans get turned off by.
On November 6th I want to be celebrating Klobuchar’s loss. I do this because I want Bills to be better. My past posting on the Party’s demise under Carey and Sutton was not out of fun, I did it because I wanted it to be better. For them to be better.
I use the blog because it is a tool that get’s their attention. While I write the content here, I know I am not alone in my beliefs and opinions. I speak for many either with out a voice or with out the courage to, as someone who is now infamous once told me, I crap where I eat that’s why no one likes or trusts you. (foreshadowing…..)
I realized early on that if you are in politics to make friends and have people like you, you’re going to be bad at it. Case in points: Ron Carey & Tony Sutton.
I want Republicans to be better. I want our candidates to win. It kills me a little bit every time I see someone make bone headed decisions. Its tough love folks. Run a good campaign and you won’t see critical content towards you on this blog or on twitter.
You say get over it, I say get better.
So my posts where I am critical of Bills isn’t out of glee, it is out of pain that this is the guy I must try to support, defend, and try to get people to vote for. Unfortunately, I need to start by reassuring our normal base voters to stay on board because Bills took advantage of the Ron Paul revolution that thinks incumbents like Zellers, Kline, Rosen, or our Presidential nominee of Romney are just the same as Democrats. And if this Primary attack from Carlson gets any steam, guess who will go to bat for Bills? Yes, me.
I’m loyal folks, I’m just not going to blow smoke up your skirt and ignore blunders or colossal mistakes. I sat by quietly during Sutton’s 2nd tenure. And look what happened. Millions in debt and lord only knows…. That was the perfect example of scratching backs for return favors or silence. The perfect example of what happens when no one is willing to stand up and say, what the freak is going on down here?
Of course people will try to blame me for pointing out the out of the gate blunders. They don’t want any of the blame to fall on their shoulders.
But no one wants my opinion… Too bad, this is America.
Thoughts?

Totally agree with the thoughts shared. we have been quiet too long and have lost much credibility. If we all start being honest with ourselves and rollup our “individual concerns” and work together to win elections we will again be credible republicans and will have a voice again. BUT we have to hold all people – not just candidates. It will take a lot of work and from all factions.

Great post, Andy. Your critique of the Bills campaign has been right-on and professional. It is clear you want Bills to win but have concerns about the management of his campaign. Thank you for sounding the bell!
