Pawlenty Still Mailing It In
First he skipped the Minnesota Republican Convention and didn’t bother to help the guy he endorsed at that convention. Now he is simply holding a conference call to respond to President Obama’s visit to Minnesota.
Via MPR’s Polinaut.
MPR reports that while Obama’s campaign is actively organizing in Minnesota, Republican Mitt Romney’s campaign is virtually nonexistent.
Jack Meeks, who chairs Romney’s 2012 steering committee in Minnesota, says he expects Romney to make a campaign visit to Minnesota in the next few months but had no other details.
Former Gov. Tim Pawlenty, who attended the Michigan Republican Convention instead of the MNGOP Convention in May, is holding a conference call to rip Obama’s Minnesota’s visit.
Pawlenty, who failed in his White House bid, has become a surrogate for Romney. He traveled to several state GOP conventions to speak on Romney’s behalf (North Carolina this weekend) but didn’t show up to Minnesota’s convention last month.
And this guy thinks he can walk into the 2014 cycle and be the US Senate candidate.

Where was the Minnesota GOP convention?
All I saw was Ron Paul pep rally.
Can you blame him or any sane person from avoiding this year disaster.
Seriously, Michelle Bachmann and the tea party folks were considered outsider, too establishment.
But Hopefully he will be embraced by Michigan and stay there.
Lots of good folks for 2014. Pawlenty is not one of them.
Didn’t TPaw say in that press conference that anyone – including himself, would be honored to be selected for Mitt’s Vice Presidential running mate? How desparate can he be? Has he no pride?
