Tis The Season – MNGOP BPOU Conventions Are Among Us
Republican Party of Minnesota BPOU (Base Political Organizing District) conventions begin this weekend. In the off years, you elect local leadership and select State Central Committee Delegates and alternates. While turnout is usually very low compared to election year endorsing conventions, the stakes are very high. If you were a BPOU Delegate or alternate last year, make sure you go this year.
You can find info on the conventions here.
Oh and guess what, I need to stop saying I am done with party positions, I may just end up running for something in the 6th District again.

Just a question: Isn’t running for a BPOU office usually a good step towards running for a CD office? I know you’ve been there, done that, but I’m thinking it’s sort of a prerequisite?
Actually I tend to think that BPOU Executive Committee officers shouldn’t hold CD Executive offices. Too much work on both parts to do either well. Unless of course your BPOU has official Liaison positions to the CD. Not all do though.
Now as a CD officer who attends BPOU meetings you can add great input, updates, and communications between the two.
