"John McClane: You know what you get for being a hero? Nothin'. You get shot at. You get a little pat on the back, blah, blah, blah, attaboy. You get divorced. Your wife can't remember your last name. Your kids don't want to talk to you. You get to eat a lot of meals by yourself. Trust me, kid, nobody wants to be that guy.
Matt Farrell: Then why you doing this?
John McClane: Because there's no body else to do it right now, that's why. Believe me, if there were somebody else to do it, I'd let them do it, but there's not. So we're doing it.
Matt Farrell: Ah. That's what makes you that guy. "

"You're just petty politicians, who'd sooner sign onto the wisdom of a tyrant in another country, than the demands of ticked off voters in your own." (Neil Cavuto June 2008)

“I didn’t question her patriotism. I questioned her judgment.” Mr. Cheney went on: “The point I made and I’ll make it again is that Al Qaeda functions on the basis that they think they can break our will. That’s their fundamental underlying strategy, that if they can kill enough Americans or cause enough havoc, create enough chaos in Iraq, then we’ll quit and go home. And my statement was that if we adopt the Pelosi policy, that then we will validate the strategy of Al Qaeda. I said it, and I meant it.” (Vice President Cheney NYT Feb. 2007)

Amy Klobuchar Has Raised Taxes By $16,475 On Every Citizen Since She Took Office In 2007

Did that tittle grab your attention? Read the entire post and send it to every reporter and friend of yours please. And note that you could also say the same for Pelosi, Reid, and Democrats since they took over control of Congress in 2007.

Senators Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken of Minnesota voted today to throw $45,000 of debt onto each citizen.

Senate Democrats needed all the 60 votes at their disposal Thursday to muscle through legislation allowing the government to go $1.9 trillion deeper in debt.

Democratic leaders were able to prevail on the politically volatile 60-39 vote only because Republican Sen.-elect Scott Brown of Massachusetts has yet to be seated. Republicans had insisted on a 60-vote, super-majority threshhold to pass the measure. An earlier test vote succeeded on a 60-40 vote.

The measure would would put the government on track for a national debt of $14.3 trillion — about $45,000 for every American — and it served as a vivid reminder of the United States’ dire fiscal straits.

That is well over a $5,000 per person debt load increase from just yesterday when they applauded new Deficit Hawk Obama’s speech. A speech where debt and a sound dollar never really came up. (But it was a long speech, so maybe I missed it)

One of the key talking points for the 2006 Democrat Senate candidates like Amy Klobuchar was talking about the debt.

In just a few years, this administration turned a $200 billion dollar surplus into a $300 billion dollar deficit.  This deficit means every child born in America today is stuck with a $26,000 tax — their share of the federal deficit.

*** Please note that she called debt burden a tax when it suited her purpose!!!!!!!!  ***

Heck, she even talked about the figure for the payment on the interest on the debt.

To make these investments and ensure a prosperous economy, we need a federal government that is able to gets its own fiscal house in order.  Every day, our government spends over $800 million dollars just to pay the interest and principal on the federal debt.

She wanted to portray her opponent and Bush as reckless spenders. Well, she just proudly cast her vote to increase the debt limit another $1.9 Trillion, to $14.3 Trillion. Since Klobuchar was first sworn in and Democrats took control of the Federal Government’s purse strings (Read: both House of Congress), the Nation’s Debt limit has increased $5.34 Trillion in just 3 years.

In July 2007 the population was 301 Million. It jumped from 298 Million the same month the year before. Let’s say it was at 300 Million in January.

  • Debt TAX *** per man, woman, and child when Klobuchar first took office in 2007: $29,867
    (Debt limit $8.96 T / population) [Source Census.govTreasurydirect.gov ]
  • Debt TAX *** per man, woman, and child after Klobuchar’s 3 years of fighting for us: $46,342
    (Today’s Increased Debt limit $14.3T / 308,573,134 population)
  • Debt TAX *** increase per man, woman, and child while Klobuchar has been a US Senator: $16, 475

For some reason I think I want her to STOP fighting for me, because it keeps getting worse.

Amy Klobuchar has raised taxes on every man, woman, and child in America by $16,475 since she has been in office.

I checked with Dr. King Banaian to make sure I was using the proper Debt numbers. I did the calculations on my own. He also sent me this link that has a great Fact Sheet. Thanks Professor!
