No Fences To Mend
Do you reaqlly think we will see a fence built to defend our southern border with Democrats in power? Maybe this will help educate you.
(AP) WASHINGTON Rep. Betty McCollum has been selected to serve on the powerful House Appropriations Committee, giving Minnesota a voice on a committee that makes federal spending decisions.
The selection by McCollum, a Democrat from St. Paul, ensures that Minnesota will continue to have a seat on the committee. Rep. Martin Sabo, a Minneapolis Democrat who had served on the panel, is retiring.
“I’m so excited about being on the Appropriations Committee,” McCollum said, “because you can work on policy all you want, but if the dollars aren’t there to back up the policy, nothing happens. I’m in the room when the dollars are being decided.”
Remember, the braintrust that passed the fence, didn’t fund the thing. So, given Democrats natural sympathy for illegal alliens, and their goal of tearing down everything Republicans built the last 12 years, you can forget about border security. Betty is one of the most partisan people in DC, and she will see to it that no liberal program goes un funded.
