PiPress Photo oops
I was at the marriage Rally Wednesday, but it appears the PiPress was not.
I was visiting my Mother and Grandmother today, and while I was paging through their Pipress, I noticed a picture of Sen. Bachmann on the opinion page. The caption claimed it was her speaking at the marriage rally, but I disagree. In the print edition photo, Bachmann is wearing a black jacket/coat (not online), but look at my photos from the rally.

Her suit looks pretty yellow to me. What does it mean? Nothing, just that the Press used a stock photo, and miscreditted it. Hack reporting from the editorial/ oponion board as usual.

Was at same rally. And take a look at her website http://www.michelebachmann.com with similar pictures. Alas, hack reporting it is.
Could be they just put the wrong rally photo in. Was she wearing black (or dark colors) in the 2004 rally?
It’s fairly easy for this sort of mistake to be made in a newspaper. It would have been more of a problem if the Pioneer Press had put last year’s “Death Penalty for Homosexuals” sign (which is in their photo archives) in this year’s paper.
PiPress Photo Oops 2
Here’s the evidence that the PiPress used a photo creditted falsely. I briefly went into this here.
I posted the pictures I had taken while I was at the rally on Wednesday. The Press ran a photo from something else BUT CLAIMED IT WAS FROM THE WED R…
Well call them up and ask them to post a correction. I wouldn’t assume they read this blog.
I really don’t care if they read this or not. That is not why I blog. I couldn’t care less if they print a correction. I posted this as an example of just how well they do their research, and I wanted my readers to think about just what else they might gloss over.
