It is one thing to challenge someone's views, it is another altogether to lead personal attacks on some one. Discredit the site that uses those photos of Bachmann, and I'll assume that you are genuine in your statement that you intend to debate the issues,

The people like me and the others that dare to write about this topic find ourselves being questioned about mundane unrelated subject matter. I started writing about defending traditional marriage, and found myself having to explain some one else's behavior someplace where I was not. Why is it my responsibility to get to the bottom of those things? You have been using me to get to Bachmann, and as a content source for your blogs.

In this post, I recommended some different tactics for you to try. Instead of the gotchya attacks, trying to get that quote you are looking for, you should focus on your own side's positives. Demonizing Bachmann or me will do nothing for you. If you want to get back to the fact that 70% of Minnesotans want to vote on this great, I've been waiting to do exactly that.

I've linked to this on Dump Bachmann.... I've never thought challenging someone else's views as bullying. I appreciate it when people challenge my views. I often learn from that. There's nothing more boring than hanging around with people who all agree.

Eva I never made any deal with you. You are really getting pushy. You assume that I was serious about asking Betzold. You assume that I actually cared what their response would be.
What I was trying to do is show you that politicians seek their own kind. Wake up and smell the coffee, Bachmann does not feel comfortable talking to you. As I no longer do. Everything some one says to you ends up posted somewhere out of context or in a less than favorable way.

If you want to play grown up politics, you might want to respect people, and stop the gotchya routine. I'm sure you wrote a post that will paint me as some intollerant hater, but you have no clue who I am.

I am simply trying to enlighten you that you are using bully tactics. You can't force people to think like you. You are trying to shame me by attacking me every day. You are trying to shame Bachmann by attacking her everyday on some situation here or there, that really has nothing to do with anything. I gave you advice in this post, and instead you attack me.

Formulate an inteligent and thoughtful argument for your beliefs and use that forget the photos and attacks. If you continue to attack everyone about mundane garbage like shaking hands and bathrooms, no one will listen to you.

Here's the correspondance before this. Andy liked it when I asked Betzold for comment on that story you told of him telling you to "shut up" at a town meeting. I thoughtfully forwarded the email to him. I suggested you ask Bachmann for her side of handshakegate. I guess you weren't up to the challenge - so fall back to attacking me personally. Whatever. In the interest of full disclosure, here's the complete correspondance. It's rather boring - but since you posted the last of it, here's the context. Andy challenged me to ask Don Betzold whether and why he told Andy to "shut up" during a constituent meeting. Being a nice person, I did. Betzold isn't my state senator, so my guess is he will ignore the correpondance. I suggested that Andy ask Bachmann to comment on whether she was rude to a constituent by refusing to shake his hand. Andy doubted the story, and said it was "he said, she said" - but that's not the case - because Bachmann has not commented on that issue.

I doubt he will respond to me - you wanted him asked about this, so I did. He never has written me back before. I'm not a constituent. If he does respond, I'll be sure to let you know.

I'm holding my breathe.

Now why don't you ask Michele Bachmann about the handshake deal.

Stop acting like an irrational person and I'd bet she'd answer you. Quite honestly, I'm getting a little worried about what you might do to me if I say the wrong thing. I don't care about the handshake deal. It is "he said she said". I wasn't there, and neither were you I believe. If it was as horrible as you claim, I'm sure the media would love to tar and feather her, have them be your lap dog.
